Katie screamed SOOOOOO loud when she opened the box. How cool!

Now, this comes on a day when I was very sad, depressed and cried about how big she is getting and was in a funk all day because she no longer needs a booster seat! She finally weighs 62 lbs! I know a little pathetic about my funk but I'm in one and now this!!!! She Lives and Breathes Taylor Swift!! I guess I could be happy that she takes after me and how I was the same way at her age but instead of Taylor it was Duran Duran!!!!

He Said, She said...

I had a spur of the moment idea on Sunday morning. Katie and I were on line looking to see when Taylor Swift's new CD was coming out. Well, I noticed that she was playing that night at Mohegan Sun! Well, I saw it wasn't sold out, asked Jason and he said sure! Katie was screaming!!!!!
"I have to call Mady!!!"

While there I heard: "Oh my goodness!" "This is where we're sitting!?!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" at the top of her lungs. "I have the best parents ever!"
It was great and we had a little mishap that turned out way better than I could have ever imagined with the tickets.

Ben overheard us talking about the concert. He said to Jason, "I want to go to see Taylor Swift at the sun!"

About going to vote and the chance there may be long lines, Ben said, "I don't want to stand in long lines so I"m not going to vote."

HALLOWEEN

Finally I'm posting Halloween pictures. For some reason I didn't take a lot of pictures. Well, I do know why, I gave the camera to Jason and then it got put in my friends stroller and was never seen again. Thankfully Kathy took lots of pictures, as always she was prepared! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

So we're driving to church and Ben says, "Hey Daddy, member (he leaves off r's) when I swallowed my dum?"
Jason, "No. When?"
Ben "Member, I got dum out of your truck and ate it but then swallowed it."
Jason, "Oh yeah. Why?"
Ben "I was just membering."
Jason "Why did you swallow it? Did you want to blow bubbles out of your butt?"
Long Pause
Pause, I look at Ben and he has this very thoughtful look on his face and then says,
"NO!"
Jason, "Then why did you swallow it?"
Ben, "I don't know why."
Jason, "Who?"
Ben, "What?"
Jason, "Why?"
Ben, "Why what?"
And so it went on!

First Trip to Boston!

We went to visit Aunt Marcella and Paul yesterday. We had so much fun!
The trip up was eventful of course! For those of you who don't know, Jason does not like driving anywhere near Boston. It could be the fact that he has to drive into Democrat Territory. It could be the crazy drivers. It could be that he knew he was going to see tons of Obama signs.

So Jason got directions off MapQuest for the last time. They were correct in a way. The way of going the back roads into Boston! Yes back roads. It was very pretty, until we came up to an intersection. Now, first I must say, Jason was already thinking we were going the wrong way since the exit sign was slightly different than the MapQuest.
So we see a big intersection coming up, we slow down, see police cars, lights and all of a sudden the traffic cop, two cars in front of us, stop traffic. Oh, there's a fire truck coming out of a parking lot. Okay. Then, Jason says, "What?" Behind the fire truck are all these people walking with little kids dressed in Halloween costumes!!!! Jason said this is the last time he's coming up here!!! We were in Walpole by the way. I said, no, we are going to have a great time visiting the Children's Museaum! Jason says, Marcella can come down to us, we have lots of Children's Museaum's around us!!!

So we call Marcella and find out, yes, we are a little off, but not far. She sets us straight and we make it to her condo. AHHHH. The kids jump out and are so happy they can talk again! LOL!!!!

So I'll stop talking and let the pictures tell the rest of how are day went. We started off at the Children's Museaum in Boston and then went to Quincy Market.

Going to get on the "T" Green Line. Ben was in awe, his first train trip. Katie went on a train to NYC last year.


Ben liked looking out the windows.


Boston...Here we come!


Katie's favorite stop was the "China" exhibit. Ben's favorite was the Construction Zone! Go figure.

Hair Cuts at home

Jessica, the kids hairdresser, comes to the house to cut their hair. Ben is so cute with her. I think he has a little crush on her!


Katie checks out her new look, she decided to cut it very short, like mine.

What's New...

We've been busy as usual with our day to day activities. Last weekend the kids had a ball outside playing and raking up leaves. Katie loves to drive the cub tractor and now has the job of picking up leaves with the attachment! WoW! Ben is a little ticked about this, but handling it well. He loves to be out with Jason and be his big helper! He helps stack the wood after Jason chops it and brings some up to the back porch for us. When Daddy's not home he's in charge of watching the fire. As soon as it starts to get down, he yells for me to put more wood in the fire!


Ben finished up gymnastics and loves to do head stands against walls.


Katie loves to flip!

Katie and I spent some time last weekend scrapbooking together.

Heading down the back to dump the leaves in the back woods.


We are so blessed to live here. The kids love to head down the back to walk in the woods. Later on this particular day they took me down to the "cave". Ben had me bring a sword in case I fell down. He was very concerned about my ankle. Thank goodness for my sword.






Jason has been very busy getting all the wood ready.
