Fall is upon us and finally the trees are starting to change colors! The leaves in our yard all beautiful and falling more and more. The kids have had fun raking up big piles. They run and jump. They run and fly into them or they try to ride their jeeps through the pile! That doesn't work very well and stalls. Oh well.
Last weekend we spent Saturday at my sister's. It was my niece and nephews birthdays. The kids had a blast together and got along really well. The two B's get along really well and my B is so similar to Big B that it's scary sometimes. They have many of the same mannerisms and my B imitates everything Big B does:)))
K has been reading some more challenging books. She has been doing really well and really seems to enjoy reading. B has gotten use to our reading time and will sit and listen and not annoy K as she reads her books. She continues to swim one night a week and was moved up a level. She will be learning to use her strokes more and learn to belly flop, I mean dive!
B is doing awesome at child care! We get there in the morning and there are only 3 other children. I think this has helped a lot. At are other child care it was already hopping when we arrived and he get swarmed by his friends, which would sometimes make him upset and drop off was more drawn out. His new place has less children in his room and just a calmer atmosphere. I'm sure that could change at any moment with a new arrival. It's been wonderful to watch the change in him. I knew it was coming, but it was a LONG road this summer!!!! He is so happy and full of questions. I'm not sure who talks more K or him! The competition is fierce at times.
The other exciting change is he now does art projects. You may be thinking no big deal, but this is a child who would draw a line and be done. He brings home papers with drawings and he's trying to write letters and can write his name!!! So exciting.
J has been very busy at work. He's had lots of extra catering that he has to organize and sometimes be there to manage. It's good, but means a lot of early mornings. He loves that we live 8 minutes from work now! He's been very busy out in the yard chopping wood, getting ready for winter. We bought a small wood stove so we are looking forward to using it.
I am still enjoying work and keeping busy. It's wonderful to be home earlier and not bring work home! Yippeee. My ankle is doing better. I hope to get into the pool more now that it doesn't hurt so much when I take the air cast off for short periods.
Well that's what's new.
I hope you enjoy the new pictures. Love to hear from you, leave a post.
